The Conservation Symposium will be hosted at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Westville campus, situated within an environmental conservancy approximately 8 km west of the Durban CBD. The campus combines modern conference infrastructure with attractive natural surroundings, offering a fitting setting for a gathering focused on African conservation challenges.

Parking for all

On-site parking is available for delegates on the Westville campus. Parking areas are located within walking distance of the conference venue. Further details on designated parking areas will be communicated closer to the event.

Easy Accessibility​

The Westville campus is conveniently located off the N2 and M13 corridors, with clear access from both Durban and Pinetown. The campus is wheelchair accessible, and venue facilities can accommodate delegates with mobility requirements.

The L Block Lecture Theatres

L Block is one of the three dedicated lecture theatre complexes on the Westville campus that offers large 250+ plenary lecture theatres and several smaller breakout rooms with connectivity via the University Wi-Fi network.

The Westville campus is the main campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, formed in 2004 through the merger of the University of Natal and the University of Durban-Westville. It houses programmes across multiple disciplines and serves as UKZN’s administrative headquarters. The campus is well served by road networks linking Durban, Pinetown, and the wider eThekwini metropolitan area.
